The plumber with the excavator

When the problem is under the ground, we bring the machine that reaches it.

Plenty of plumbing ends at the foundation wall. A collapsed sewer line, a new water main to a shop, a septic tank on the side of a hill: those start with a trench. C&S runs its own mini excavators, so the crew that digs it is the crew that makes the joint, sets the tank and calls for the inspection.

A named job, in the owner's words

A 5,400 square foot home, a hillside septic, and a slab rough-in done twice.

The previous plumber left a sloppy rough-in on the slab and stopped showing up. C&S bid the rough-in and the final, set the septic on a slope that was hard to reach with equipment, and kept the crew on site exactly when scheduled.

First try

“Jose installed my septic system, which was located on the side of a hill and not easy to dig with equipment. Despite the challenging conditions, he completed the job quickly and passed inspection on the first attempt.”

Sewer and water lines

We don't guess at what's wrong underground.

Older Fayetteville and Rogers homes still carry clay, cast iron and Orangeburg sewer lines, and tree roots find every joint. A camera tells us which one you have before a shovel touches the yard.

  1. Step 1

    Look before we dig

A sewer camera goes down the line from a cleanout so you see the break, the roots or the belly on the screen, with its location marked on the ground.

  2. Step 2

    Pick the method

Spot repair, trenchless pipe lining, pipe bursting or a full line replacement, chosen by the damage, the depth and how much of the line is affected.

  3. Step 3

    Dig with our own machine

When the ground has to open, the excavator is ours. A spot repair or a lining often finishes in a single day; a full replacement may take one to two.

  4. Step 4

    Close it up clean

Backfill, haul off what came out, and leave the yard the way we found it. If your policy has a sewer line rider, we can document what the camera showed.

Often, yes. We run a sewer camera through the line first to find the exact spot and cause. From there it is a spot repair, trenchless pipe lining (CIPP), pipe bursting or a full line replacement, depending on the damage, the depth and how much of the line is affected. A spot repair or lining can often be done in a single day; a full replacement may take one to two.

Yes. Most banks and lenders want a complete septic inspection before closing, and we provide licensed inspections with a quick turnaround. We also install and repair septic systems to county and state codes, including lift stations, risers, baffles, distribution boxes and the lines between them.

If the tank is under about 8 to 10 years old, the tank body is not rusting or leaking, and one part has failed (an element, a thermostat, a valve), repair usually makes sense. Once a tank is 10 to 15 years old with several symptoms, or the repair would cost close to half of a new installed unit, replacement is usually the better money. Northwest Arkansas hard water shortens tank life, so we will tell you honestly which side you are on.

Yes. We do slab rough-ins, water supply, drain, waste and vent systems, and the final set on new construction, and we replumb kitchens and bathrooms during remodels. When a build needs a septic system, our own crew digs and sets that too.

Yes, through GreenSky, subject to credit approval: no interest if paid in full in 12 months, or a reduced fixed APR of 10.99% for 84 months. Call the office and we will walk you through it.

Standard homeowners insurance usually does not, unless your policy has a specific sewer or service line rider. Some policies cover damage from a sudden event like a collapse but not gradual wear. Check your policy, and we can document what we find on the camera.
